FERNANDO SILPH
BAPTISM

power is taken, never given.
persephone has been denied too long of her rightful endowment.
claimed in both body and soul, fernando is now a slave to the intricacies that lay beneath the amavi heir. from mother to daughter, from parent to child - his purpose is clear, to wear the mantle of a parental figure that's been absent for far too long.
somewhere a bell toils and a debt is cleared; a rift bore between father and daughter is sewn shut by an infiltrator who once heralded an interdependence between mother and son.
on paper they are equal partners but the parallel between them become slanted. perse is a woman who intersects perpendicular, opposite of his own until he mangles her back into place. she takes after him - the thirst, the hunger, the viciousness.
the lights to the danger room flicker on, untouched for far too long. the mild cackle of fluorescent lights tell both a story of age and neglect. today that changes as both fill into the large, empty, room. it's purpose is clear, to handle whatever the two can throw at each other. the lack of an obstacle means there's no advantage, no unfair edge to either party.
fernando brings about his army and persist that persephone does the same. weapons unused are still a threat, often more formidable then those out in the open, obvious to the naked eye.
the room dims and the lights continue to flicker, alternating between between dark and light - yin and yang.
"are you ready, perse?"
they go off once again and fernando is left in the dark. something shuffling can be heard. some may call it cheating but war only cares about two things.
winners and losers.
life and death.
